Licensed Psychologist

I am a Licensed Psychologist in private practice in the state of Minnesota whose personal and professional passions overlap. On the personal side, I care deeply about people who are struggling due to personal history, life circumstances, or developmental challenges. On the professional side, a common thread that runs through my work history is the search for meaningful ways to help others. After working in the public health, education, and non-profit fields for almost ten years, I found the niche that I love -- Psychology!

Experiential Play Therapy

a child-centered, nondirective play therapy model

a directive, attachment-focused play therapy model

Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP)

an attachment-focused, family talk therapy model

Filial Therapy

a play-based therapy model that involves teaching parents how to support their children through child-centered play.

Laura spent five years living and working as the Director of Youth Services for the Half the Sky Foundation and a Psychologist for LIH Olivia’s Place Pediatric Therapy Center. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. She is also the mother of three internationally-adopted children.
